I can tell you exactly where your religious freedom ends--It ends at the beginning of other's safety and religious freedom. I'm pretty sure we agree on that, though. This means that, while unfortunate, if the Netherlands decides that, for security reasons, people cannot have their faces covered in public--Well, those whose religion forbid them from appearing in public without covering their faces will have to stay out of the public. This would have to include ski masks and any other face-concealing garment, though. If it is only the burqa that is banned, then a claim of religious discrimination would be reasonable.
